To simply put: 50 Cent has always been controversial-wise, and his latest post is proof that he does have a sense of humor, especially when it comes to his bitter grudge with Diddy. The rapper turned businessman took to Twitter and issued a sardonic “threat”: Diddy might be putting out contracts on him. “Oh my goodness itty bitty Diddy wants me Dead, I have to lay low,” with a frowning face emoji, before chuckling, “I think I’m gonna hide out at the playoff game tonight LOL.”

The tweet was linked to some unknown source by 50 Cent, immediately causing quite a stir online. While 50 Cent never explained what triggered this cryptic message, the two have hardly hidden their disdain for each other. It’s an old strife, with 50 Cent constantly badmouthing Diddy in interviews, in songs, on the socials—the newest jab marks a continuation in the never-ending battle between the two.
The retorts were laughingly bewildering. One user ironically referenced Diddy’s 1999 nightclub shooting, “So long as Shyne isn’t there, but he’s a politician now so you’re safe. (Court found Diddy guilty of being a terrible shot back in ’99 if memory serves?).” The comment referenced the legal aftermath of the incident, in which Diddy was acquitted of gun possession and bribery charges while rapper Shyne was convicted and subsequently deported.
Things then turned weirder as another user suggested, “He may try to drown you in baby oil!”—a jab at Diddy’s well-known lavish grooming routines. The rest, seemingly, expressed genuine concern for 50’s safety; one warned, “Don’t leave your dog at home alone bro….” referring to occasions when the rapper’s pets have been targeted.
Another entertaining reply came from a user requesting an AI-art rendition of Diddy “looking for 50 Cent similar to Elmer Fudd,” complete with a cute little hunting cap, as part of a book project demonstrating how on-record their feuds are. Another user chimed in, “Could you make 50 Cent hiding behind the tree or something please,” turning this metaphorical life experience into cute caricature status.
But there were also those who were less amused. One person threw it back at 50: “Bro you not tired of snitching,” basically stating 50 Cent’s endless jabs at Diddy are too much. Another was wondering, in another sense, “Does anyone ever wonder why celebrities like Bieber for Diddy and young children that Epstein allegedly sex trafficked have never came out and said anything at all?” questioning whether celebrities will ever speak out against figures such as Diddy or Jeffrey Epstein.
What became clear amid the chaos is that 50 Cent knows how to keep the dialogue going. Whether it’s just another joke or something a little bigger, the rapper has turned comedy with controversy into an art, and almost anything he puts out becomes viral. Throw in promises of some prime hiding spots at the playoff games, and he clearly isn’t buying this “threat” quite yet—at least not yet.
The reply thread shows the divide; some were really buying this as classic 50 Cent trolling, while others are seeing if there’s really something bigger to this. Either way, the rapper’s cleverness in stirring the pot guarantees we won’t be talking about this in fading memory any time soon. And if history is any indicator, Diddy will respond soon… as soon as he finishes with his skincare madness.
