Mattress deals are everywhere right now, but I say sleep is overrated compared to upgrading your home entertainment setup. Amazon’s Presidents Day sale is packed with unexpected deals that will take your home theater to the next level — which all starts with your screen.

When it comes to how you watch your favorite movies, shows, and live sports, the merits of size versus resolution can be argued endlessly. Traditional TV sets offer a crystal-clear picture and simple setup, but projectors can give you a much bigger wow factor in a far cheaper package.

This Nebula Capsule 3 Projector that’s $400 on sale right now is a prime example. It gives you a 120-inch picture in full HD for less money than some 60-inch TVs and tops the biggest TV you can buy at Amazon, a TCL 115-inch 4K TV that costs $20,000.

It weighs less than 2 pounds, stands 21 inches tall, and can run on battery for over 2 hours. “The picture is clear and crisp,” wrote one five-star reviewer who said it looks best in the dark but “still works during the day or with a light on in the room.”

If 4K resolution is a must, I’ve been testing an Awol Vision Projector, which makes a 150-inch image that looks great even in a bright room — but amazing in a dark one. It’s still cheaper than most 4K TVs that are 90 inches and up, and it’s $800 off right now.

While its size is the top selling point, it’s also a drawback. At nearly 160 pounds without its legs attached, this monster is too heavy for most wall mounts to support.
