Just hours after re-wearing Anna Nicole Smith’s 2004 plunging crystal-embellished LBD at Friday night’s Barnstable Brown Gala, Dannielynn Birkhead paid sartorial tribute to her late mom again at the 2025 Kentucky Derby. Accompanied by her dad Larry Birkhead, the 18-year-old was the belle of Churchill Downs as she stunned in a light blue off-the-shoulder dress paired with some of her mom’s iconic jewelry pieces.
The shoulder-baring neckline of Dannielyn’s Kentucky Derby dress showcased her gold pendant necklace with a vivid green stone—a vintage piece from the Playboy star’s collection. She also wore her mom’s gold watch on right wrist as well as several gold bangles. Posing alongside her dad, the teen paired her jewelry with the off-the-shoulder Mac Duggal dress, which featured tulle tufting around her neckline, a fitted bodice, and layers of tulle on the floor-length skirt.

Wearing a fascinator decorated with a yellow flower, a red rose, and a blue feather pinned to her shoulder-length platinum blonde hair, Dannielynn accentuated her features with smokey eyes, a dark pink lip, and matching blush.
Meanwhile, Larry matched his daughter wearing a light tan suit paired with a light blue dress shirt, a pocket square in the same color, a graphic tie, and a yellow flower pinned to his lapel. A pair of caramel leather dress shoes finished off his Kentucky Derby outfit.
Dannielynn previously talked about the connection with Smith that she got from wearing her late mom’s clothes, telling reporters that it was the closest to a hug [she] can get from her” at Friday’s Barnstable Brown Gala.
Chatting with People at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, the teen revealed that she’d put a lot less thought into her race day dress and had “eeny, meeny, miny, moe’d it” with the Mac Duggal number. She also shared that it was her first time wearing Smith’s jewelry.
