Located only ten nautical miles from Tahiti, is the beautiful island of Mo’orea.

A patch of paradise, the Guides checked into their overwater bungalows before they explored the stunning barrier reef that wraps around the island.

Little did they know, they were about to give diving with the wild but local blacktip sharks and stingrays.

“As Australians we have a healthy respect for stingrays,” said Matt as he prepared for the nerve-wracking dive.

“As someone who’s watched all of the Jaw movies, I have a healthy respect for staying on the boat,” laughed Brett.

Anchored in the lagoon, the Guides each experience quite different reactions.

“I need to get back on the boat!” yelled a “petrified” Victoria after a close shark encounter.

“This was about the most up-close and personal experience we’ve ever had,” beamed Matt after the duo faced their fears.

“I don’t think even words or pictures do this place justice. It’s the feeling that you get in Tahiti that makes it so special.

“We’ve never going home.”

“This is beyond what I expected,” added Janetta. “It’s not cheap but you will get what you pay for.”

Speaking about the bungalow experience, Mark said: “This place is insane. That was something we’ve always wanted to do. How lucky are we.”

This isn’t the first time the Guides have dived head first into an ocean experience.
