The Internet was snowed under with confusion when Collin unleashed the crab-rippling four cryptic words over his most recent social media post: “um,” “hm,” “oh yeah,” and “yeah.” That very vague, contextless message sent folks into a frenzy of wondering what this digital person was trying to convey.

Having practiced his trade for some long years in deeply sarcastic and sometimes very contentious views, this one was quite out of his ordinary postings. With an explanation provided whatsoever, or any other follow-up, the post quickly became an area of various speculations made among those who had seen it. A teaser? A cryptic inside joke from nowhere? Or just a thought congealed randomly into the void?
The quiescence remains baffling since he would typically come in to either comment or work the conversation. The guy quite frequently fills in on clarifications or expansions to posts, yet here is silence, pure silence. The post itself did not contain images, videos, or links-other than those four puzzling words.
With not even a clue as to what the post means, the net went mad, and theorists flocked to make sense of it. Some took a nasty little jab at it, saying it may be the sound of Rugg rising from his afternoon nap; some others thought it could be some tucked-away hint to something big about to be launched. Some thought it was a cipher-not really because a cipher would hardly be that blatantly straightforward-even if utterly vague!
Speculation is presently the only definite explanation for the connotation of Rugg’s post. Whether it was purposely fashioned as so esoteric or just a one-off-the fact remains-any post from an individual with a following-whether simple or complex-will capture attention. Should there be a later stage, his fans surely would wait for him to drop hints or explain it outright; so meanwhile, the speculation runs and runs.

Well, in thick and thin, this sure isn’t the first time that a phrase composed of obscurity left influencer-fan relations dangling in uncertainty, and surely it certainly won’t be the last. Social media is a place where the quietest of things are chosen to be center stage. For our case, it was just four words!
