Call Her Daddy may be one of the most famous podcasts on the internet, but it’s host Alex Cooper’s apparent feud with fellow podcaster Alix Earle that is currently dominating headlines. After Cooper’s company, Unwell Network, dropped Earle’s podcast, Hot Mess, from its roster, fans were quick to question the pair’s friendship—and whether or not it could be saved. Here’s everything we know so far about the rift between Alix Earle and Alex Cooper.

It all started when Earle skipped a Super Bowl party hosted by Unwell Network in New Orleans, despite the fact that she was in town for the big game. Earle posted a carousel of images simply captioned “NOLA,” but made no mention of Cooper’s party. Three weeks later, Hot Mess was unceremoniously dumped. Unwell also “renounced all rights” to the show, according to Variety.
Neither podcaster has so far commented on the feud. Back in 2023, Earle was among the first to join Cooper’s network, which she founded as a subsidiary of her and her husband’s company, Trending.
“We live in a world where we are inundated with content, but The Unwell Network will be the source everyone can go to for unique perspectives exploring what’s top-of-mind today for this generation,” Cooper said in a statement at the time.

As for Hot Mess? It was originally marketed as a “weekly recap of [Alix’s] life,” promising to reveal “all the in-depth, exclusive details that has everyone watching, talking, and wanting more.”
“I’m so excited to announce the first of many creators in the Unwell Network’s family,” Cooper said in 2023 while promoting Hot Mess and Madeline Argy’s Pretty Lonesome. “Alix Earle and Madeline Argy both have a unique presence that captivates an audience, but I love how they approach content in very different ways… I feel honored to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish.”
