Jin, known for his comedic moments on variety shows, has provided yet another incredible video for his fans to enjoy as he truly shines in the pandemonium of unscripted scenarios. An official fan site shared behind-the-scenes footage showcasing Jin having great fun with what seems to be a wildly chaotic water bucket challenge coupled with quizzes. Hence, the fans have happily termed this moment the “legendary basin party.” The untranslated sentence more or less goes: “From quizzes to crazy water parties with Worldwide Handsome Jin… as expected, Jin was godlike!”

The clip seems to show Jin committing all the way: he got drenched in water but still maintained his handsome look, and the hashtag #StillHandsomeEvenUnderAWaterShowerJin exploded globally. Getting drenched is nothing new for the idol who has managed to pull comedic acts inside BTS through years of variety shows and crazy live streams himself.

Reactions flowed in as fast as water soaked Jin; “Jin is funny and likes to do his comedy,” said one fan, while another called him the “God of Beauty” even while chaotically soaked. Most comments referred to “JIN ON SCREWBALLS,” indicating that it could be stock footage or promotional content for spectrum or specific variety shows. The hype was real; one wrote in Korean, “Due to this, my weekend is now filled with Seokjin. Thank you for making me so happy.”

The comedic acts have no language barrier. At one point, the video was reposted by a Chinese-speaking fan who commented, “From Q&A to an insane water basin party with Worldwide Handsome Jin… as expected, Jin is godlike!” Then came an Indonesian fan begging someone to tell them where to watch the full Screwballs, showing that they truly care.

Then, not all comments did stay on-topic; one hurriedly injected a Middle East politics angle heavily contrasting with the others’ lighthearted responses. Most fans ignored that one and instead reposted more comments about Jin, including one compliment that neatly wound up the sentiment; “The way Jin just goes for it. So much fun to watch.”

Jin’s water-based comedic antics hark back quite a bit. When BTS first debuted, the “water bottle incident” saw Jin genuinely funny struggling to drink water during a live broadcast. Years down the line, he cultivated water-soaking into an art: show me anything entertaining, and Jin will embrace it, whether it be atop a mountain of diamonds or closed off in a million-dollar ice cube.

This clip had been released in the middle of Jin’s military enlistment days, and his fans are now counting fiercely for his full-fledged comeback. Consider this piece of footage proof that even just from a teaser, the eldest member of BTS hasn’t lost any of his magic in turning something small into a viral moment. Jin has perfected timing in comedy as well as laughter at himself; whereas nowadays, he’s teetering on the next level of proving why he is considered one of K-pop’s naturally most entertaining idols, even when he’s not dripping wet.

Another fan aptly crystallized the feeling: “Jin was so amazing. Always so entertaining.” The comments evolved into a mini-celebration of Jin’s variety antics, with many users even concocting their own hashtag, #JinxScrewballs, to forever immortalize the moment. So much so, even in what seems like a mere random behind-the-scenes clip, Jin advances to prove why he is called the Variety King, turning a simple water challenge into yet another unforgettable laughter chapter.
