Chef Daniel Humm Proposes to ‘Succession’ Star Annabelle Dexter-Jones with Topless Painting of Herself

Succession alum Annabelle Dexter-Jones is engaged!

The actress’ longtime love Eleven Madison Park chef Daniel Humm, 48, popped the question in a surprising way — by asking her to marry him in front of a custom topless painting of herself. 

Humm announced their engagement news via Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 6. 

“When you know, you know. With you it’s been so obvious @princesssummerfall,” Humm wrote, tagging Dexter-Jones, 38. “Never did I imagine someone so special would exist, and you have shown me what true love is. Together, we will be on this journey forever on. Love you.”

He then thanked painter Francesco Clemente for his part in their “special moment” and for his artwork “bringing it to life.” Humm concluded, “Family.”

In his post, the Michelin-star Swiss chef kisses his now-fiancée in front of the one-of-a-kind piece. The commissioned painting appears to be of Dexter-Jones, as the woman in the artwork looks identical to her and is even wearing the same leopard print coat.

Unlike the real Dexter-Jones, the painted version of herself is nude underneath her coat. She rests her left hand on her exposed breasts, showing off a diamond ring. With her legs akimbo, she even wears the same matching blue flats with white detailing as her physical counterpart. 

In the final image of Humm’s Instagram carousel, he admires the painting while sitting beside the American Horror Story star and Clemente.

Humm has three daughters: Vivienne and Colette, whom he shares with ex-wife Geneen Wright, and Justine, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Elaine Mathieu.

He often posts about his daughters on social media, but it wasn’t until October 2024 that he featured Dexter-Jones on his Instagram page. He penned a sweet tribute to her for her birthday.

“Happy Birthday Annabelle! Meeting you has made my life go from black&white to color. Every day with you is such a gift — your boundless creativity, your vibrant spirit, and your beautiful heart light up my world,” he captioned a loving photo of them. “You inspire me to see the beauty in the little things and remind me of the joy in every moment. I’m endlessly grateful for your love, your support, and for the way you make life feel extraordinary. Never did I think someone so magical could exist. I love YOU!”

Humm was previously romantically linked to Demi Moore. PEOPLE confirmed the former couple’s relationship in March 2022, shortly after they were spotted together sitting front row at Chloé’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway show for Paris Fashion Week. The two split after less than a year of dating, a friend of Moore told PEOPLE in November 2022.
