Jennifer Lopez Celebrates Twins Emme and Max’s 17th Birthday

In news that will make you feel extremely old: Jennifer Lopez’s twins Emme and Max are officially 17 years old. Celebrating her coconuts’ joint birthday milestone over the weekend, Lopez shared the sweetest video compilation that showed their growth from babies to full-on teenagers—and trust me when I say, you’ll be needing tissues. 

“Seventeen. I love you beyond forever,” the singer-slash-actress wrote alongside the adorable footage on Instagram, adding two coconut emojis in reference to the twins’ longstanding nickname. The montage—which was set to the tune of Miley Cyrus’s “Edge of Midnight (Midnight Sky Remix),” featuring Stevie Nicks—first began with a photo of Lopez cuddling Max and Emme when they were newborns before the camera cut to a clip of the trio on a tire swing.

Other notable moments in Lopez’s post included Emme joining her mom onstage at the 2020 Super Bowl, Max giving his mom kisses ahead of one of her performances, and a slew of family selfies that were taken over the years. 

Lopez shares Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. The former couple welcomed the twins in 2008 before splitting up three years later. They finalized their divorce in June 2014.

Back in December 2024, Lopez opened up about her struggles of feeling “enough” for her kids as a solo parent during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve been a single mom at times in my life, and [I’ve asked,] ‘Am I enough for them?'” Lopez said while promoting her movie Unstoppable. “And the truth is, all you need is really one good parent to love you.”
