It was back in 2008 when a young and passionate Jey Uso entered the wrestling world along with his twin brother Jimmy. Today, Jey Uso stands tall in defense of the World Heavyweight Champion title. The WWE superstar intrigued everyone with his reflections on his journey in an episode in which he would defend his title in Tampa, Florida, the same city where it started for The Usos in FCW.

In a post that went straight to the heart, Jey Uso reflected upon 24 May when he made his debut in 2010 and the adventure. Jey stated, “Tonight, 15 years later, I’m defending my world heavyweight championship on live TV,” referring to it as a “special night,” and concluding with a “Yeet.” This heartfelt tribute surely brought tears to the eyes of wrestling fans who had followed The Usos’ journey from the beginning.
The support for him was greatly overwhelming as fans were headed in thousands to rally behind him for the title defense. A longtime fan says, “Proud of both you, Uce! Happy as hell to see y’all both get a chance for a singles run. And killin’ it.” “Keep rolling, Jey!!!” some chimed, while others just joined in with a hearty “Yeet.”
Somewhere out there, however, a wrestling fan likely disagreed. “Why think this YouTube jerk clown should be in WWE? REALLY???” came one such accusation toward the audience. Another said, “Jey Uso sucks,” but that hardly received any acknowledgment by way of support in comparison with the massive support the current champion received.
That debate about Logan Paul’s entry into WWE was a constant theme in the reply. While one account championed it saying, “Logan Paul deserves to be World Heavyweight Champion! Let’s go Logan!” others were reluctant to. “Kick that YouTuber’s ass and send him back to YouTube,” the other instructed, spotlighting this divide between the old-school wrestling fans and those who embrace WWE’s newer crossover stars.
Amidst the hot verbal bouts, some fans reminded everyone of the times with throwback pictures of early days of The Usos. “And I was there for the debut. Lookin’ like teenagers,” remarked a nostalgic fan, posting a side-by-side comparison of then and now. Growth, rather, in experience and stature, was obvious.
With such an atmosphere on the brink of the big fight, fans were either for Jey Uso to retain the belt or for Logan Paul to secure an upset, but one thing was certain-the defense was more of a celebration for longevity, endurance, and the far-reaching impact The Usos have in WWE.
Post the clash, one thing was sure: win or lose, Jey has earned a place among the credible few in the business who have around 15 years of respect.
