Lady Gaga went ahead and finished the last international date of the extraordinarily successful MAYHEM Tour, which only left people speculating about what she would do next. Immediately after, the pop diva took to social media and asked her fans what they wanted to see in the world tour. Responses ranged from passionate pleas for songs to complete overhauls of production.

To say this took off like wildfire is an understatement: by 6 hours, it had amassed over 30k replies! Clearly, Little Monsters have opinions aplenty regarding what their diva should do next. On one side, they desire harshly radical changes; on the other, they just want to see the show again. Here are a few of those big suggestions that can showcase the ever-giving mentality of Gaga’s fanbase.
Among one of the loudest outrages were the several calls for ‘LoveDrug’ to be included: the fans wanted their sacred unreleased song. One user pleaded, “LOVEDRUG???? Where is she 😭” Another chimed in, “I just need LoveDrug on the set list!!!” That sort of fan passion for that one song just goes to show how much they relate to Gaga’s vault of unreleased material.
The “Too many boring songs” comment as the proposed cuts (including “Ring of grass (or whatever it’s called)”) set off a little bit of spice. Desired replacements? Classic bangers like “Marry The Night” and a goth style remix of “Telephone.” The debate sprung up about how much weight should be given to the new material as opposed to the classic hits.
It also came ready for production criticism. Some want Gaga just to recycle one or two iconic visual moments, like the cage gown and litter pit from the current show, while others want a fresco of fresh ideas. “The black long wigs with bangs that she wore on Superbowl please,” begged one follower; no detail would be considered too trivial for this watchful fanbase.
The international set made itself clear, with orders for “At least another leg for ASIA.. 🇯🇵,” and another wishing for a Mexico City leg. This speaks loud about the ever-widening and diverse fan base of Gaga.
Perhaps the most bizarre contribution was from someone concerned about the opinion of the average person: “Hope the setlist is changed because many people say it’s satanic.” This keeps the tension going between the artistic vision of Gaga and mainstream acceptance.
The back and forth talks sparked by the ticket price saw one participant decrying, “Shitty ‘premium’ floor seats” going for more than $1k. So, that is one sore spot for some concert-goers in the economics of mega-tours.
Those answers are quite interesting because they highlighted the split within Gaga’s fanbase; some want deep cuts blended with experimental stuff; others just want the hits; some want the spectacle, while others want pure musical authenticity—that split is not unique to Gaga, but the passion behind the people on either side is noteworthy.
While the MAYHEM is about to conquer lands new, one thing is for sure: Lady Gaga and her fans are as fragile a marriage as the show she puts on. Whether she’s going to listen or keep drifting into her world on her own, the fact there’s even talk about it gives her the greatest relevance. One thing is for sure: the next chapter will be under scrutiny.

That consistency is what has figured into the tour’s success so far for Gaga, as she has already shown the inevitable balance between fan expectation and artistic evolution. However, for now, they cry from their digital megaphones that Little Monsters will have SO much to say about every creative choice ahead. The next chapter is going to be loud, I tell ya!
