If the holidays that have occurred since Meghan Markle rejoined Instagram on January 1 are any indication, the Duchess of Sussex has been planning a festive Easter celebration for her family—husband Prince Harry and kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet—for a while now. And on Sunday, April 20, Meghan gave fans a peek at her Easter outfit in a behind-the-scenes video shared with her 2.7 million Instagram followers.
The Suits alum was the epitome of elegance as she wished her fans a “Happy Easter full of love….and surprises!” In the clip, Markle stunned in a midi-length white sleeveless shirt dress with a collared neckline and black buttons running down the front. Wearing her dark hair in a sleek bun, the As Ever entrepreneur could be seen standing in some tall grass on the side of the road as she watched a mother duck and her ducklings walk out together.
Prior to the Easter holiday, Meghan showed herself on her newly relaunched Instagram in the kitchen preparing Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day themed goodies for herself, Harry, and their kids—with Archie and Lilibet pitching in to help with the treats for the February 14 holiday. Red bagels and strawberries cut into heart shapes made the cut for Valentine’s Day, and green waffles and a green drink were featured on St. Patrick’s Day.
Ahead of Easter, Meghan added “The Easter Edit” to her new ShopMy page, which included everything from items for the kids (Meri Meri’s Mint Bunny Baby Booties and Surprise Eggs, ZICOTO’s Ultimate Kids Gardening Set, Petite Plume Kid’s Twill Pajama Set, Maisonette’s Bunny Easter Basket, and a LEGO bunny all made the cut) to items for the home (think Serena & Lily Sintra Napkins and Tablecloth, HG Heritage Coupe Glass, and Anthropologie’s Easter Bunny Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs, Lyon Portuguese Stoneware Dinner Plates, and Savannah Juice Glasses—naturally, in a set of four).

The 25 items in the Easter collection are the latest addition to the Duchess of Sussex’s ShopMy page, which she wrote is “a handpicked and curated collection of things I love.”
Meghan’s Easter picks even had a royal family connection, specifically Trotters’ Baby Bella Bunny Petal Dress and Boden’s Gathered Woven Dress. Both brands are brands sister-in-law Kate Middleton has dressed her own children in over the years.
Sophie Mirman, the founder of Trotters, told People that the dress from the brand Meghan chose to highlight is a “very sweet, traditional Easter dress” that is a “perennial bestseller” for the company.
“It’s very exciting, but that’s how I feel when I see our outfits on any child,” Mirman told People of Meghan’s endorsement. “Of course, when it’s a high-profile child, we are obviously thrilled to bits!”
She added that “As soon as one of the young royals is photographed wearing one of our pieces, it just sells out. In the U.S. especially, the Americans seem to love our royal family!”
Speaking of the royal family, Meghan herself actually never celebrated a royal family Easter by attending the traditional church service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, which the family does annually. For Easter in 2018, she wasn’t quite a member of the royal family; Easter that year fell on April 1, and Meghan married Harry on May 19. In 2019, Easter fell on April 21; she was heavily pregnant with Archie, who would be born just a couple of weeks later on May 6. By Easter 2020, Harry and Meghan had stepped back as working members of the royal family and had begun to forge a new life for themselves in California, Meghan’s home state.
In 2021, per Tatler, the Sussex family shared a glimpse of a Peter Rabbit-themed egg hunt they’d arranged for Archie in their back garden (Meghan was pregnant with Lilibet at the time).

“She and Harry hid multi-colored eggs in their sprawling grounds with the help of Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland (and the whole thing was filmed in soft-focus for social media),” the outlet wrote. “Perhaps this year, there’ll be some flower-sprinkled shortbread cookies from the Duchess’ new brand, As Ever, waiting for the victors?”
In 2022, Harry and Meghan spent Easter in The Hague, Netherlands at that year’s Invictus Games. This year, it seems Meghan has been planning Easter for some time, as she shared in a recent Instagram Story footage of her collecting eggs from her chicken coop (for an Easter egg hunt, perhaps?) and picking strawberries, which she captioned “Spring has sprung!” adding “That means it’s almost Easter!”
On the most recent episode of her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan said on April 15 that it was important for her to be able to “show up for both,” meaning work life and home life.
“Just be honest in the journey of it,” she said. “And say, ‘Yeah, today, I’m going to show up for you, but I’m showing up for you in my sweatshirt because I’ve been up all night with my babies.’ But I’m still going to be able to show up for both, because both matter and both are what keep my cup full.”
